Well that was cool
So I was just walking home from Richie’s new place, at around 2 am or so, and im walking on Bergen Line, and normally I walk all the way to 79th, and walk alongside the park until I get to my building. For whatever reason I decided to walk up 77th this time, I guess because I wanted to walk for 2 blocks on boulevard east. I’m halfway to Blvd east when I see a car stopped in the middle of the street, and people trying to get the car open, people stomping on dudes on the floor and the like and I realize I won’t have an opportunity to turn before whatevers happening, so I decide to just turn around and go over to 78th and head down that way. As I’m walking back up a car pulls up pretty close to the curb stops next to me for a moment, and a dude puts his hand out of the car with what I am 99% sure was totes a gun, and says “BLAM” and they drive up to the corner, and just park there.
At this point I’m like “Haha! Woo! Fuck that! Yeah!” and immediately turn into some porch next to me that’s lit up and I just ring the doorbell. Don’t even give a fuck. A dude comes out and I can tell he’s trying to decide if he should have opened the door or not, and I quickly tell him “Yeah I am 100% positivo those dudes on the corner want to do a violence on me” and he just kind of nods. So we stand there for what feels like 20 minutes and was probably one, and the guys on the corner finally have to keep on driving when some other car comes up behind them and starts beeping. The guy asks me if I need a ride, and he seems like a nice dude, but I feel like I just got out of potentially being robbed of all my rad possessions and I didn’t want to step into “potentially be put into a hole in this dudes basement” so I decline, walk over to 78th, walk down to Blvd East, and do my customary wave to my doorman, to whom I have never said anything more to than the words “hey hows it going”
